About Me:
Hi! I am Ms. Torres! I teach Science, History, and Theater for 6th grade. This will be my first year here, and I am so excited to be a High Desert Hawk! From these first few weeks, I can already tell the school and community are AMAZING! When I am not at school, you can find me hiking, reading, crafting, or cuddling my bunny, Pippin!
Experience in Education:
- 5 years doing after-school care with YMCA and Cadence Academy
- 2 years teaching 4th grade
- 1st year teaching 6th grade
Goals:
My goal this year is to build student confidence for public speaking! While this can be nerve-wracking for some students, our goal is to create a safe classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable taking chances.
